Peer Review Process
PRISMA-IJSHR implements a rigorous and objective peer review process to ensure that all published research meets high academic and ethical standards. The journal follows a double-blind peer review system, where the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. This ensures an unbiased evaluation based solely on the quality and validity of the research.
The process begins with an initial editorial screening conducted by the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) and Co-Editors-in-Chief (Co-EICs). At this stage, the manuscript is assessed for relevance to the journal’s scope, adherence to formatting guidelines, and originality through plagiarism detection tools. PRISMA-IJSHR maintains a strict maximum similarity tolerance of 20%, and authors are encouraged to conduct their own plagiarism checks before submission. Manuscripts that fail to meet these criteria may be returned for revision or rejected outright.
Once a manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to expert reviewers selected based on their academic expertise in the subject area. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, contribution to the field, and ethical compliance. They provide constructive feedback and recommendations, which may result in acceptance, minor or major revisions, or rejection. Authors are expected to carefully address all reviewer comments and submit a revised version within the specified deadline.
After resubmission, the editorial team reviews the revised manuscript to ensure that all necessary improvements have been made. In some cases, a second round of peer review may be required. Once the manuscript meets the journal’s quality standards, it proceeds to the copyediting and production phase, where language, formatting, and references are refined before publication. Through this structured peer review process, PRISMA-IJSHR upholds the integrity and excellence of published research.
